Job Description

The Gananda CSD is seeking a 1.0 FTE probationary K-12 Special Education Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. Applicants must hold a valid NYS teaching certification in Special Education. Candidates holding multiple certifications, including Students with Disabilities (Birth–Grade 2, Grades 1–6), will be given preference.

Salary will be based on experience per the Gananda Teachers' Association Contract. The starting rate for a first-year teacher with a Bachelor's Degree will be $46,300 - $63,500 based on experience and education. Benefits include health insurance, health reimbursement account, membership in the NYS Teachers' Retirement System, and paid sick and personal time.

• Experienced in the MTSS framework and progress monitoring to support academic and social-emotional growth
• Strong communication skills to effectively partner with families, staff, and community stakeholders
• Comprehensive understanding of assessments used to drive high standards and future-ready outcomes
