Anticipated: Special Education Teacher 7-12

The Gananda CSD is seeking a 1.0 FTE probationary K-12 Special Education Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. Applicants must hold a valid NYS teaching certification in Special Education. Candidates holding multiple certifications, including Students with Disabilities (Birth–Grade 2, Grades 1–6, and/or Grades 7–12), will be given preference.

Salary will be based on experience per the Gananda Teachers' Association Contract. The starting rate for a first-year teacher with a Bachelor's Degree will be $46,300 - $63,500 based on experience and education. Benefits include health insurance, health reimbursement account, membership in the NYS Teachers' Retirement System, and paid sick and personal time.

  • Experienced in the MTSS framework and progress monitoring to support academic and social-emotional growth
  • Strong communication skills to effectively partner with families, staff, and community stakeholders
  • Comprehensive understanding of assessments used to drive high standards and future-ready outcomes
